Greetings! Welcome to my site, The Writings of Alan Dale Dalby.
Here you will find some of my short stories and other writings. I am a writer who is working on several projects and
hopefully headed toward a career doing what I love to do, write. I am 26 years old and I tend to dive into every genre,
so you will find some very different stories and hopefully will enjoy a few of them. This is my first internet site,
and it is designed to promote some of my works. I will be working on it as time goes on, adding new stories and doing
all I can to improve this site and keep it interesting.
I grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and still live here.
The scenic views, wide variety of wildlife, and constant changes in weather have captured my heart and my imagination.
All of my stories are either based on experiences I have had in my 26 years here, or simply products of my imagination inspired
by my surroundings. In addition to my stories, I will be showcasing some photography taken by either myself or a member
of my family so that you can see some of the sights that I have drawn my inspiration from. My constant muse and the
perfect landscape for a colorful and very interesting life.
There is more behind my putting this site and my work out into cyber
space. For your part I hope that you take a little time out to read one or two of my short stories. Hopefully
you enjoy them. Perhaps you won't. One thing is for sure, for every story we read or movie we watch, we walk away
with opinions.
This is where I am going to ask you for a bit of help. I invite
you to write me with comments, reviews, criticism, or if you feel a story worthy of it, praise. For those of you who
have suggestions on how I can polish a story or improve it in any way, I would love to hear from you. If anyone
has praise for a story, please email me with your comments. I will most likely get back to you and ask permission to
use your endorsement for submissions of the story or stories you enjoyed to contests and publications.
